Raleigh's new cargo bike range encompasses two different models; the larger three-wheeled Stride 3 trike and this sleek two-wheeled Stride 2 bicycle. Coming in a sophisticated black colorway, with a dash of playful mustard, these bikes can be sure to turn heads wherever they’re taken.
Ditch the car. The school run just became fun. The Raleigh Stride 2 is an elegant, eco-friendly two-wheeled alternative to typical family transport. Designed with practicality in mind, this classy cargo bike can carry a lot. Kids, pets, parcels, the weekly shop - you name it, the Stride has got the whole family covered. With a large load capacity and cargo area to transport the children, combined with all the efficiency of electrical assistance, you can forget honking the horn when you're stuck in traffic - instead, pedal the stress of rush hour away on the Stride.
Unlike many other models on the market, both Stride cycles come with a top of the range Bosch Performance CX Cargo Line motor with powerful output from standstill, you get extra assistance when needed most make light work of any hills on your way home - even when stacked to the brim with the kids and shopping.
Equipped with a premium Enviolo Cargo hub and shifters, Raleigh’s use of best-in-class componentry means you can enjoy a smooth ride - devoid of clunky gear changes and delayed power assistance. A 500Wh Bosch battery gives total range of between 30-40 miles, the battery can be easily removed from the frame and recharged indoors within just 4.5 hours. A Stride 2 delivers peace of mind, very able to undertake multiple short journeys with plenty left ‘in the tank’.
Built with a sturdy one-size-fits-all steel frame, the bikes also come with hydraulic disc brakes, built-in front and rear lights, an attached ring lock and a full metal mudguard set as standard - to ensure that riders are equipped for every scenario.
Integrated lights mean you can keep ‘cargoing’ in lower light and keep you and your precious cargo more visible in traffic. British weather won’t hold you back either, thanks to built-in mudguards.
The Stride 2 front carrier comprises strong aluminium and an EEP-foam box that can hold up to 80kg of cargo (rising to 100kg for the larger Stride 3 trike). A selection of useful accessories will also be available for riders looking to upgrade their new go-to family wagon, including; a rain tent, box cover, bike cover, baby & toddler seats, bench cushions and Maxi Cosi car seat brackets. For bike located in a warehouse location we aim to dispatch within 10-12 days (not including weekends / bank & public holidays).
Bikes will be delivered by DX or TNT, please note for some Cube Stereo the front wheel will be packed in a separate box but both wheel and bike should be delivered at the same time.

Ready2Ride Delivery For Cargo Bikes
From mid July 2024 we are now able to deliver a cargo bike in a box for FREE (to our regular FREE delivery areas - not Highlands etc)
Previously as our cargo bikes are larger than standard electric bikes they were only available for home delivery via our Ready2Ride delivery option (or click and collect), you can still select this option however if you prefer. One of our team will deliver your new bike, fully built, configured and tested, we will personally hand over your new bike, make adjustments if required and can also wait while you take a short test ride round the block.
This premium delivery is available to locations within a 50-75 miles radius of one of our stores. If your postcode qualifies for this service it will be available to select at checkout. If your delivery address is outside our delivery area please contact our Customer Services team on 0117 452 6571

Place an order for £50 or more and delivery is free to mainland UK (including Highlands), for an order under £50 delivery is charged at £8.99.

I'm really impressed with pretty much every design element and feature of this bike. I'll caveat by saying I've only recently taken ownership of the bike, so I can't comment on long-term reliability but nothing is giving me cause for concern. Sure the handling of such a long wheelbase does take a bit of getting used to, but less than I expected. I am a fairly experienced road cyclist, so maybe that makes it easier.
The Bosch motor system is brilliant, kicking in and out smoothly and just when you need it. The Envio stepless gears are smooth and cover the ratios you'd want them to. I bought the rain cover and Maxi-cosi accessories, neither of which is cheap but both a great.
Service and support from electricbikeshop staff (I bought through the Bristol store) has been faultless. I managed to get an ex-demo on cycle-to-work which made this an absolure bargain, but even without that this just knocks the socks off things like the Reiss & Muller / Urban Arrow in terms of value, especially when you consider you are getting the exact same motor and gear system!
