The Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie gives younger riders an extra power boost, so they can tackle longer family rides and keep up with the grown-ups. Making use of the same technologies as Cube's full-size e-mtbs, it features a Bosch Active drive unit coupled to Shimano's easy-to-use 9-speed gears. Suntour's XCT JR fork is designed specifically with younger, lighter riders in mind and helps smooth out the trail ahead.
A kid-friendly cockpit and saddle make for a super-comfy ride position. And there's a set of powerful hydraulic disc brakes, for safe stopping. Put the spark back in your family rides...
It's fair to say that Bosch didn't have perfectly proportioned kids' bikes in mind when they designed their world-beating drive systems, but that hasn't prevented them from neatly integrating it into the Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie's frame. Using the same design and construction techniques as our adult hybrid mtbs, Cube has built a junior hybrid that's both fun to ride and safe as well. Internal cable routing significantly reduces maintenance, and they even included mounts for a CUBE kickstand.
This children's bike is a OneSize model suitable for kids up to the following maximum measurements: a height of 124 - 141cm, and an inseam measurement of 57 - 66cm.

UK regulations state that a rider must be at least 14 years of age to ride an e-bike on public pathways / roads. For younger riders there are no age restrictions when riding an e-bike off-road / on private land.

We aim to despatch an in-stock bike 3-5 days after an order is placed (not including weekends / bank & public holidays).
For bike located in a warehouse location we aim to dispatch within 10-12 days (not including weekends / bank & public holidays).
Please note the dispatch timescale shown in on our website / basket / order confirmation are estimated. If applicable Saturdays are included in the calculation however items are normally only dispatched Monday to Friday.
Bikes will be delivered by DX or TNT, please note for some Cube Stereo the front wheel will be packed in a separate box but both wheel and bike should be delivered at the same time.

Boxed Bike Delivery
FREE boxed bike delivery Our Standard Boxed Delivery for bikes is FREE to UK mainland locations (excluding Highlands where there is an additional surcharge payable).
We can also deliver a bike to BT Northern Ireland and IM Isle Of Man subject to surcharges plus Orkney and Shetland Islands, please refer to the map below for our current prices, for other non mainland locations please contact us for a quote.
Ready2Ride Delivery
Choose our Ready2Ride Service and one of our team will deliver your new bike, fully built, configured and tested, we will personally hand over your new bike, make adjustments if required and can also wait while you take a short test ride round the block. If your postcode qualifies for this service it will be available to select at checkout. Ready2Ride Delivery For Cargo Bikes
From mid July 2024 we are now able to deliver a cargo bike in a box for FREE (to our regular FREE delivery areas - not Highlands etc)
Previously as our cargo bikes are larger than standard electric bikes they were only available for home delivery via our Ready2Ride delivery option (or click and collect), you can still select this option however if you prefer. One of our team will deliver your new bike, fully built, configured and tested, we will personally hand over your new bike, make adjustments if required and can also wait while you take a short test ride round the block.
This premium delivery is available to locations within a 50-75 miles radius of one of our stores. If your postcode qualifies for this service it will be available to select at checkout. If your delivery address is outside our delivery area please contact our Customer Services team on 0117 452 6571
Parts & Accessories
Place an order for £50 or more and delivery is free to mainland UK (including Highlands), for an order under £50 delivery is charged at £8.99.
For Highlands, Northern Ireland, Isle Or Man and other non mainland locations additional charges will apply.
Click & Collect
For Click & Collect orders, for security you must present photo ID plus the payment card used at time of collection. This is also applicable when you have purchased using V12 Finance. For more information click HERE
Delivery With Multiple Items On Order
Please note if you order more than one item online your products may arrive in separate shipments. We do aim to send everything together but logistically this is sometimes just not feasible.

Your CUBE bike is guaranteed against any manufacturing defect for 2 years from the date of sale.
6 Years on Alu Frames, 3 Years on Carbon Frames, 2 Years on Components.
Your new Cube electric bike also comes with a 24 month Bosch warranty on the motor and battery.

Electric Bikes are regulated in line with existing Electric Power Assisted Cycles regulations. Cube does not endorse any upgrades that are added to electronic e-bikes, as this will invalidate a customer’s warranty.

10 Days Free Insurance On Your New Bike!
We offer 10 days free insurance with all new bikes purchased from The Electric Bike Shop, provided by our insurance partner VeloLife. You will be covered for the first 10 days of ownership against theft, accidental damage and malicious damage, so you can purchase with confidence.
If ordering online, you can select to include insurance during checkout will be given a link upon completing your order to activate your 10 days free insurance. If you are purchasing in-store or through our sales team then speak to them directly about activating your free insurance on your behalf.
If you intend to purchase a bike or accessories via a Cycle to Work scheme, please review our Cycle to Work page first to make sure we accept your scheme.
