The ELyte EVO RS from British bike team Whyte represents a carefully refined e-MTB built to help you make the most of every ride. This capable model combines Whyte's renowned design, featuring a low centre of gravity of just 505.07mm, with trail-proven components to create a balanced machine that excels in aggressive trail riding and technical enduro terrain. With mixed wheel sizes as standard, custom-tuned RockShox suspension, and the latest Bosch CX motor technology, this bike is built to deliver more runs, more satisfaction, more grins, and more fun.

Built around a uni-directional carbon fibre mainframe and seatstays, the ELyte EVO RS delivers an impressive combination of stiffness, compliance, and lightweight performance. The carbon construction provides precise power transfer and responsive handling whilst maintaining the resilience needed for hard trail use. The tapered head tube and internal cable routing contribute to the clean aesthetic and structural integrity, whilst the Shape.it Link V2 allows geometry adjustment to fine-tune handling characteristics for different tracks or riding preferences.

Refined e-bike system

Bosch's very latest high performance, ultra-responsive fifth generation Performance Line CX motor and battery technologies deliver you Bosch's most refined, reliable and efficient performance ever. Quieter and lighter than the previous generation, delivering 85Nm of torque and 600W of peak power that responds intuitively to your pedalling, and with free software updates this motor can be configured with enhanced settings to unleash an impressive 100Nm of torque and 750W of peak power. The update also introduces the all-new E-MTB+ mode, designed specifically for technical climbing and demanding terrain.

The carefully engineered motor configuration allows the battery to sit at the lowest point in the frame, creating Whyte's signature low centre of gravity with nimble handling and confident cornering on technical terrain.

The ELyte EVO RS comes with a 400Wh Bosch PowerTube battery integrated within the downtube, and includes the 250Wh PowerMore range extender as standard, giving you a combined 650Wh of battery capacity. This clever system gives you the flexibility to choose your setup: run just the internal 400Wh battery for shorter 'power-hour' rides with reduced weight, or add the PowerMore for longer adventures and all-day riding. The frame features two bottle positions so you can run a full 750ml bottle in the lower position (using the included adapter) and still mount a smaller 450ml Fidlock bottle higher up – even with the PowerMore in place on sizes Medium to X-Large.

Downtime is minimal thanks to the fast charging times: with the included 4A charger you can expect approximately 50% charge in 1.5 hours from empty, and to 100% in 3.5 hours.

Smart connections

With the Bosch Smart System, which links up the ELyte's top-tube integrated system controller, battery, and motor with the eBike Flow app on your mobile device, you can have even more information at your fingertips to manage, tailor, and personalise your bike just how you want to get even more from your riding. Tune the motor support levels, keep track of your bike's performance and battery consumption, plan and navigate routes, and keep your software up to date. You can even use your smartphone as a "digital key" to deactivate the motor for peace of mind.

Trail-ready suspension

Custom-tuned suspension units deliver controlled, responsive performance to smooth out the rough. The RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork provides 150mm of plush, controlled travel up front. The 35mm stanchions and Charger 3.1 damper deliver reliable performance for demanding riding, whilst the DebonAir+ spring maintains sensitivity over smaller bumps. At the rear, the custom-tuned RockShox Deluxe Select+ RT shock provides 142mm of perfectly balanced travel, with damping characteristics specifically developed to complement the ELyte's suspension design and adjustable rebound plus two-position compression adjustment to fine-tune performance on the trail.

Whyte's engineers have tuned the ELyte EVO RS's suspension to deliver you a high level of support, grip, confidence, and control right from your first ride. Switching the linkage from "High" to "Low" will slacken the geometry by 0.6º and lower the bottom bracket for a more gravity-friendly handling.

Reliable and precise drivetrain

SRAM's proven mechanical T-Type drivetrain gives you dependable shifting with solid reliability and precision. The Transmission technology features the SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type mechanical rear derailleur and Eagle 90 shifters working together to offer 12 speeds with the SRAM XS 1270 wide-range 10-52T cassette. This setup provides consistent gear changes even under motor torque, and the combination of SRAM 36T chainring with Whyte's 155mm ISIS cranks offers good ground clearance for technical terrain.

Finishing touches

The TranzX +RAD dropper seatpost features size-specific travel lengths: 125mm for Small, 150mm for Medium, 170mm for Large, and 200mm for X-Large frames. This allows riders to quickly lower their saddle position for technical descents and raise it back up for efficient climbing.

Control and stopping power are provided by SRAM's DB8 four-piston hydraulic brakes, delivering powerful and progressive braking performance across varied conditions. The 200mm rotors front and rear offer plenty of heat dissipation for sustained descents, whilst the brakes provide good modulation and feel.

Rolling on mixed MX wheels as standard – 29" front and 27.5" rear – the ELyte EVO RS benefits from the best of both worlds: the trail-smoothing momentum of a 29" front wheel for tackling technical terrain with speed and control, combined with the playful agility of a 27.5" rear wheel for confident cornering and manoeuvrability. This mixed-wheel setup gives you a distinct advantage across any trail, combining the benefits that enduro racers have embraced for competitive performance.

The WTB ST Tough 29" front and HTZ Trail 27.5" rear rims with 30mm internal width are laced to e-bike specific alloy hubs using DT Swiss Elemental spokes, creating a robust and reliable wheelset. The rims are shod with aggressive Maxxis tyres, featuring a Minion DHF with EXO casing and MaxxGrip compound up front, paired with a Minion DHR II rear tyre sporting EXO+ casing and MaxxTerra compound. This Maxxis tyre combination delivers the grip and durability needed for serious trail riding whilst providing different characteristics front and rear to optimise traction and rolling efficiency.
