The UTO Afternoon is now available in a new vintage retro cool colour scheme, featuring traditional tan coloured grips and saddle for that gorgeous retro look and feel.. The perfect e-bike for the daily commute and the wide tyres also allow you to easily navigate canal tow paths and other off road surfaces. Ideal for families, commuters, campers, boat owners, or simply for city dwellers who want a practical electric bike for getting effortlessly around town.
UTO listened to popular requests from riders who asked for a lighter weight from their popular 20” folder. This edition features a huge weight saving of 2.1kgs making it easier to lift when combining with other modes of transport.
The Afternoon is so solid that its less a folding e-bike and more an e-bike that folds. It rides like a solid frame e-bike but then you have the extra functionality of folding for storage or combining with other modes of transport. The frame has zero flex when riding and this design of folding cockpit offers extra rigidity.
Additionally, UTO has moved to using more intuitive torque sensors on their e-bikes, which results in a much improved ride feel. Torque sensors deliver the assistance based on the pressure being put through the pedals, so the system only gives you full motor assistance when you actually need it – which also delivers improved battery efficiency, particularly on flatter routes.
The larger frame and 20" wheels with wide tyres, along with a range of 60-80km, makes the Afternoon the folding adventure bike you have been waiting for. The Afternoon is equally at home off-road on bridleways and canal towpaths as it is on the road. Please note that it should only be ridden on flat dry good quality off-road surfaces, this bike is not suitable for very wet muddy, uneven or rough terrain.
Attach your bags to the rear pannier rack and you’re ready to explore over longer distances.

UTO gives you extra: the Afternoon OG20 comes with rear pannier rack and mudguards as standard, and this bike also comes with an anti-theft security QR seat post clamp.
Click & Collect
For Click & Collect orders, for security you must present photo ID plus the payment card used at time of collection. This is also applicable when you have purchased using V12 Finance. For more information click HERE
Parts & Accessories
Place an order for £50 or more and delivery is free to mainland UK (including Highlands), for an order under £50 delivery is charged at £8.99.
For Highlands, Northern Ireland, Isle Or Man and other non mainland locations additional charges will apply. For parts and accessories we aim to despatch the next working day after the order is placed.
For hygiene and safety reasons, helmets cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty. Please ensure you choose the correct size and style before purchasing.
Delivery With Multiple Items On Order
Please note if you order more than one item online your products may arrive in separate shipments. We do aim to send everything together but logistically this is sometimes just not feasible. For more information about delivery timescales please click HERE
Lead Times Electric Bikes
Before despatch, bikes are built, configured and tested by one of our experienced technical team.
We aim to despatch an in-stock bike 1-4 days after an order is placed (not including weekends / bank & public holidays). For bike located in a warehouse location we aim to dispatch within 8-10 days (not including weekends / bank & public holidays).
Please note the dispatch timescale shown in on our website / basket / order confirmation are estimated. If applicable Saturdays are included in the calculation however items are normally only dispatched Monday to Friday.
Bikes will be delivered by DX or TNT, please for some models the front wheel will be packed in a separate box but both wheel and bike should be delivered at the same time.
On all boxed deliveries the product name on the box may not match the model inside (our team sometimes have to use a different box than the one that initially came from the manufacturer) so please open the box to check!

Boxed Bike Delivery
Boxed delivery requires basic assembly of your bike when it arrives. Generally the front wheel will need to be reattached, the bars will need to be turned plus pedals fitted.

FREE boxed bike delivery Our Free Boxed Delivery for bikes / baskets £999 and above is FREE to UK mainland locations (excluding Highlands where there is an additional surcharge payable).
For bikes under £999 we charge £49.99 for boxed delivery to to UK mainland locations (excluding Highlands where there is an additional surcharge payable).
We can also deliver a bike to BT Northern Ireland and IM Isle Of Man subject to surcharges plus Orkney and Shetland Islands, please refer to the map below for our current prices, for other non mainland locations please contact us for a quote.
Ready2Ride Delivery
Choose our Ready2Ride Service and one of our team will deliver your new bike, fully built, configured and tested, we will personally hand over your new bike, make adjustments if required and can also wait while you take a short test ride round the block. If your postcode qualifies for this service it will be available to select at checkout. Ready2Ride Delivery For Cargo Bikes
From mid July 2024 we are now able to deliver a cargo bike in a box for FREE (to our regular FREE delivery areas - not Highlands etc)
Previously as our cargo bikes are larger than standard electric bikes they were only available for home delivery via our Ready2Ride delivery option (or click and collect), you can still select this option however if you prefer. One of our team will deliver your new bike, fully built, configured and tested, we will personally hand over your new bike, make adjustments if required and can also wait while you take a short test ride round the block.
This premium delivery is available to locations within a 50-75 miles radius of one of our stores. If your postcode qualifies for this service it will be available to select at checkout. If your delivery address is outside our delivery area please contact our Customer Services team on 0117 452 6571

Your Service Plan is non-refundable, non-transferable and is registered to you and your bike (frame number required)
