The Cannondale Wonderwagen Neo 2 brings awesome practicality to everyday family life, offering a capable alternative to short car journeys whilst making the weekly shop, school run, or trip to the park considerably more enjoyable. This front-loading cargo bike combines Cannondale's expertise in alloy frame construction with a thoughtfully chosen specification that handles the demands of real-world family use without unnecessary complexity.
The spacious weatherproof cabin comfortably accommodates two children in purpose-built seats with adjustable five-point harnesses and headrests, with the high sidewalls providing additional protection and comfort. Alternatively, the cabin carries up to 100kg of cargo for shopping trips or equipment transport. The integrated rear rack adds further versatility, fitting an approved child seat for a third passenger or carrying an additional 27kg of gear. The low step-through frame and compact 20" wheels makes loading children and mounting / dismounting easy.
Generous pedal assist is provided by the Bosch Cargo Line motor, delivering 85Nm of torque specifically calibrated for heavy loads. This motor provides strong, progressive assistance whether you're accelerating from traffic lights with two children aboard or climbing the hill home with a full weekly shop. This provides ample support for urban riding and makes your errands a lot more comfortable and fun.
The 545Wh Bosch PowerPack battery provides plenty of capacity for running errands around town across multiple days between charges. For those planning longer adventures or extended use, the frame includes mounting points for an optional second battery, effectively doubling your range.
The Wonderwagen Neo 2 uses a Shimano Deore M6000 10-speed drivetrain, offering reliable shifting performance across a wide range of terrain. The 11-36 tooth cassette provides a good spread of ratios for tackling hills when loaded or cruising efficiently on the flat. Shimano's Deore groupset is known for its durability and ease of maintenance, making it well-suited to the demands of daily cargo bike use.
The Wonderwagen employs a cable steering system rather than conventional linkages, using cables to turn the front wheel. This design delivers smooth, precise steering control whilst allowing the cargo box to sit lower for an improved centre of gravity and better handling, all without sacrificing ground clearance.
Stopping a heavily laden cargo bike demands reliable braking performance, and the Magura MT C four-piston hydraulic disc brakes deliver consistent, progressive power. The 180mm front and 203mm rear rotors provide ample stopping force even when carrying maximum load, whilst the hydraulic actuation ensures you maintain good control and modulation in all conditions.
The SR Suntour Mobie 34 Cargo fork with 80mm of travel smooths out the urban environment's imperfections, from potholes to speed bumps. This cargo-specific fork handles the additional weight and stress of loaded riding. Combined with the Cannondale DownLow dropper seatpost, which offers 150mm of height adjustment at the push of a lever, you get a comfortable ride that adapts quickly when you need to put your feet down.
Cannondale haven't skimped on practical features. The bike arrives ready for daily use with full-coverage mudguards, a chainguard, high-visibility dual LED headlights, Lezyne Super Bright rear light, a heavy-duty central parking kickstand, and a built-in frame lock. Place an order for £50 or more and delivery is free to mainland UK (including Highlands), for an order under £50 delivery is charged at £8.99.
For Highlands, Northern Ireland, Isle Or Man and other non mainland locations additional charges will apply. For parts and accessories we aim to despatch the next working day after the order is placed.
For hygiene and safety reasons, helmets cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty. Please ensure you choose the correct size and style before purchasing.
Delivery With Multiple Items On Order

Lead Times Electric Bikes
Before despatch, bikes are built, configured and tested by one of our experienced technical team.
We aim to despatch an in-stock bike 1-4 days after an order is placed (not including weekends / bank & public holidays). For bike located in a warehouse location we aim to dispatch within 8-10 days (not including weekends / bank & public holidays).
Please note the dispatch timescale shown in on our website / basket / order confirmation are estimated. If applicable Saturdays are included in the calculation however items are normally only dispatched Monday to Friday.
Bikes will be delivered by DX or TNT, please for some models the front wheel will be packed in a separate box but both wheel and bike should be delivered at the same time.
On all boxed deliveries the product name on the box may not match the model inside (our team sometimes have to use a different box than the one that initially came from the manufacturer) so please open the box to check!

Boxed Bike Delivery
Boxed delivery requires basic assembly of your bike when it arrives. Generally the front wheel will need to be reattached, the bars will need to be turned plus pedals fitted.

For bikes under £999 we charge £49.99 for boxed delivery to to UK mainland locations (excluding Highlands where there is an additional surcharge payable).

Ready2Ride Delivery For Cargo Bikes
From mid July 2024 we are now able to deliver a cargo bike in a box for FREE (to our regular FREE delivery areas - not Highlands etc)
Previously as our cargo bikes are larger than standard electric bikes they were only available for home delivery via our Ready2Ride delivery option (or click and collect), you can still select this option however if you prefer. One of our team will deliver your new bike, fully built, configured and tested, we will personally hand over your new bike, make adjustments if required and can also wait while you take a short test ride round the block.
This premium delivery is available to locations within a 50-75 miles radius of one of our stores. If your postcode qualifies for this service it will be available to select at checkout. If your delivery address is outside our delivery area please contact our Customer Services team on 0117 452 6571
