Estarli has officially unveiled the all-new E-cargo Longtail 2.0, bringing major updates to one of the UK’s most talked-about electric cargo bikes.
Designed and built in Hertfordshire, the new Longtail 2.0 builds on the success of the original model with increased carrying capacity, improved usability and a wide range of family and utility-focused upgrades.
Despite the extensive changes, Estarli has managed to keep pricing impressively competitive, with the base build still coming in at under £3,000.

One of the headline upgrades is the increase in maximum load capacity from 210kg to an impressive 250kg, placing the Longtail 2.0 amongst the most capable electric cargo bikes currently available.
That extra capacity makes a real difference for families and utility riders alike. Whether it is carrying children, shopping, work equipment or heavier cargo loads, the Longtail 2.0 is designed to remain stable, powerful and confidence-inspiring under load.
Estarli says the bike is capable of comfortably carrying up to three children or two larger children, while still remaining practical for day-to-day riding.
Designed around real family use
Estarli has spent over two years refining the Longtail platform using direct feedback from riders and retailers across the UK.
One of the most noticeable updates is the new lower-step frame design, making the bike easier to get on and off, especially when carrying children or loading cargo.
Other improvements include a more stable stand, updated edge-to-edge display, optional Dutch-style handlebars and upgraded family-focused accessories designed to make everyday riding simpler and more practical.

At the heart of the Longtail 2.0 remains the proven Estarli Cycle Systems mid-drive motor paired with the Enviolo drivetrain.
Delivering 110Nm of torque, the system is designed to provide strong climbing capability and smooth power delivery, even when the bike is fully loaded.
Estarli has also introduced further technical refinements to the Enviolo setup, including a new freewheel and sprocket arrangement aimed at improving durability and long-term reliability.
More than just a family bike
While the Longtail 2.0 is clearly designed with families in mind, Estarli is also positioning it as a serious everyday utility bike capable of replacing many short car journeys.
New collapsible pannier bags increase carrying flexibility, while an upcoming Utility Basket accessory is designed to make shopping, commuting and even pet transport easier.
The Utility Basket can also integrate within the family cage, allowing riders to quickly switch between family transport and heavier cargo duties.
