The Ørsted combines intelligent pedal assist technology with charming German Design. Don't let the Ørstead's clean cut design fool you however, the Ørsted is tough, and responds very well on a variety of terrains.
The Ørsted is a german designed and built electric bike with a deliberately classic ‘bike’ feel. Named after Hans Christian Ørsted (discoverer of electromagnetism), the Ørsted provides a consistently reliable and enjoyable ride time after time.

With state of the art technology that has been rigorously tried and tested on a varied range of terrain including steep hills and city traffic, the Ørsted gives the rider confidence and peace of mind.

The Ørsted is not just a resilient and robust e bike, but speedy and powerful too, with a top speed of 15.5mph and a range of up to 62 miles. The impressive bike has five riding modes ranging from economy to high, giving the rider a range of resistance options to suit their needs.

At the electric bike shop, we strive to give our customers a service experience that is second to none. With this is mind we created our innovative enhanced delivery service, this includes the following:

• Assembly and pre delivery inspection by our trained a2b technicians and quality manager.
• Front wheels, handlebars, pedals and front wheel removed (this is dependant on the bike model).

Due to the involved nature of the Ready2Ride service we will contact you to discuss your delivery at the time of purchase.

After we go through our pre delivery checks, we then take a photograph of your bike before it is prepared for dispatch.

We will aim, wherever possible, to get your bike to you the day after dispatch, and always within 5 days of the bike arriving at our workshop.

We will provide you with comprehensive assembly instructions and access to an online tutorial.

Once we know the bike has arrived with you safely, a member of our team will then give you a call, to provide help and assistance when assembling your bike.
How Fast Can the Ørsted Go?
The Ørsted has a top speed of 15.5mph (25km/h), however as this is a pedal assist back, you are able to pedal faster if you desire.
How Far Can the Ørsted Go?
A full battery will assist you for up to 49.5 miles (80km), however the distance can vary depending on the level of assistance you choose, riding conditions and weight of the rider.
How Does the Ørsted Handle Hills?
The Ørsted has a powerful propulsion system that enables you to operate the bike at peak output when encountering a steep hill. The Orsted’s state of the art technology enables it to propel you from a standing start with a powerful 40 Newton Metres of torque, setting it apart from other pedal assist electric bikes on the market.
How Do I Know When I’m Running Low On Power?
The classic cockpit style display on the Ørsted includes a battery and range indicator, letting you know the remaining battery energy and the distance it will take you. This information is based on the level of power assistance you have chosen.

How do I choose the right pace for me?
The Ørsted offers five different assistance levels, which you can navigate using the backlit cockpit style display. Choose from economy assistance for maximum range to high assistance for a fast, sporty ride.
How is the Ørsted charged?
Charging the Ørsted is as straightforward as charging a mobile phone or laptop. To charge simply plug in the charger to any standard outlet, and into the charging port on the bike or the bikes portable rear rack battery. For frequent riders, who want to get the best performance from their Ørsted we recommend you charge your bike every two months at least, and keep your battery topped up as often as you can.
How Long Does it take to charge the Ørsted?
The Ørsted uses high quality lithium ion batteries from trusted manufacturers. The battery can take up to three hours to charge completely, depending on the level of charge the battery has at the start of charging. To charge the battery to 80% this typically takes two hours.
What does my warranty cover?
The Ørsted has a five year frame warranty and two year motor, electronics and battery warranty.
